Jacqueline (Jackie) Murphy, is a native Arizonan who grew up in the rural town of Maricopa. She has lived in Mesa for the last 15 years with her husband, three children, and two fur-babies; a five-year-old Whoodle and three-year-old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. She enjoys spending time with her family, and photography during her free time.
She became a registered nurse in 2009, graduating from Central Arizona College with Honors. She has worked with in many areas of nursing which include: MOHS surgery, spinal surgery, and the intensive care unit at multiple east valley hospitals. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2018 with her Doctorate of Nursing Practice, and as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her doctoral dissertation educating the community about Advance Care Planning, and the importance of communicating end-of-life wishes with loved ones. She is passionate about holistic patient care, and incorporates this into improving the quality of life in patients with life-altering medical diagnoses. Since joining the practice in 2019, she has found her passion for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders. She has been an advocate for further research and treatment of Parkinson’s Disease; and has obtained a partnership with the Parkinson’s Foundation to offer free genetic testing.
She is trained to manage the following medical devices:
- Deep Brain Stimulation (Medtronic & Boston Scientific) for Essential Tremor and Parkinson’s Disease
- Vagal Nerve Stimulation (VNS) for Epilepsy
She obtained board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is also a member of:
